Service draws 150,000 daily users, 800,000 monthly; real-time chat and AI summaries drive growth
The community service inside Kiwoom Securities' mobile trading system has surpassed 1.5 million cumulative users roughly four months after launch. A combination of real-time chat, AI-powered information summaries and analyst participation has broadened the brokerage's reach among retail investors.
Kiwoom Securities said Friday the community service crossed the 1.5 million user mark as of June 1. The service now draws an average of 150,000 users a day and more than 800,000 a month.
The community is a real-time chat service available through the MTS app Heroic S#. Users can exchange views with other investors while monitoring stock charts and market conditions, and track intraday developments and market reactions through live chat.
Kiwoom Securities has also integrated an analyst participation feature into the community. Analysts post summaries of their key research notes to discussion rooms and share investment information including key indicators and related news.
The company has also expanded its AI-driven information tools. AI summarizes major news and regulatory filings for users, who can then cast positive or negative votes on individual issues — giving investors a real-time read on market sentiment and investor psychology around specific topics.
"The community is evolving beyond a simple information hub into a space where investors read the market together and communicate," a Kiwoom Securities official said. "We plan to keep advancing our AI technology and real-time communication features to deliver a differentiated investment experience."
Kiwoom Securities has long been regarded as a leader in the online retail brokerage market. The firm launched its MTS app Heroic S in 2010 to ride the early wave of mobile stock trading, later upgrading it to Heroic S#, which now integrates domestic and overseas share trading, financial products and AI asset management.
