Cheong Wa Dae on Friday offered its "sincere congratulations" on the election of Cho Jeong-sik as National Assembly speaker, signaling a commitment to cooperative governance.

Kang Yu-jung, chief spokesperson for Cheong Wa Dae, said in a written briefing that the presidential office also extended congratulations to Nam In-soon and Park Deok-heum, who were elected as deputy speakers alongside Cho.

"Cheong Wa Dae will work closely with the National Assembly, maintaining open communication and cooperation, to address the pressing challenges of restoring livelihoods, driving economic growth and achieving national unity," Kang said.

She added that "the Lee Jae Myung administration will fulfill its responsibilities together with the National Assembly to deliver results that the public can truly feel."
