One Hundred Chairman Cha Ga-won's camp plans to open a YouTube channel to rebuff allegations raised by MBC's "PD Notebook."

Hyeon Dong-yeop, the attorney representing Cha, said Friday he plans to launch a new YouTube channel to formally counter the claims made in the "PD Notebook" broadcast.

"Regarding the 'PD Notebook' broadcast, we plan to upload rebuttal videos starting with the Lee Seung-gi case," Hyeon said.

The MBC program aired Wednesday under the title "MC Mong and the Chairman's K-pop Trade Secrets," covering allegations about the private lives of rapper MC Mong and Chairman Cha, as well as Cha's arrangement to have artists Lee Seung-gi and EXO's Baekhyun move into a luxury villa he owns in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Lee signed a jeonse — a lump-sum deposit lease — worth 10.5 billion won ($6.87 million), and the broadcast also revealed that a loan on the property had tripled from 3.6 billion won before Lee moved in.

Lee's side said he was rushed into the jeonse arrangement and that the final deposit amount was not disclosed until after he had already moved in. At that point it came in at more than three times the figure initially discussed, with the delay attributed to a slow property appraisal process.

Cha's camp rebuffed the claims after the broadcast, saying Lee's side "is mistaken about the jeonse amount" and adding that it had reached out to Lee's team after the program aired to offer a chance to correct the record, and was waiting to hear back.
