Swedish Embassy in Korea hosts annual event at Grand Hyatt Seoul; Polestar shares heritage as Swedish brand

Swedish premium electric vehicle brand Polestar participated in the "2026 Sweden Day" event hosted by the Swedish Embassy in Korea at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on Thursday, sharing its heritage as a Swedish brand and showcasing the innovative design of the Polestar 4, the company said Friday.

Sweden Day is an annual event held by the Swedish Embassy in Korea to mark Sweden's National Day on June 6. It brings together diplomats, representatives of Swedish companies and industry figures to share Sweden's values of innovation, sustainability and culture.

This year's event was organized around the theme "Made with Sweden," providing a platform to share Swedish values of sustainability, innovation and lifestyle.

Polestar participated for the fifth consecutive year as a member of "Team Sweden" since entering the Korean market in 2021. This year, the company operated a photo booth that printed photos on the spot, reflecting the concept of the Polestar 4's "digital rearview mirror" — one of the vehicle's signature design features and a prime example of the brand's bold, innovative DNA.

"Polestar is an electric vehicle specialist brand that has delivered new EV experiences through innovation and sustainability as a member of Team Sweden," said Ham Jong-seong, CEO of Polestar Korea. "We will consistently share the distinctiveness of our innovative design and technology rooted in Sweden."

The Polestar 4 has been a key driver of the brand's growth since its launch, offering a range of up to 511 kilometers on the single-motor model, a maximum output of 544 horsepower on the dual-motor model, and a zero-to-100 kilometers-per-hour time of 3.8 seconds.

The model sold 952 units in cumulative sales through the first quarter of this year, cementing Polestar's presence in the premium electric vehicle market.
