Xiumin, a member of K-pop group EXO and solo singer, has had his Japan concert appearance canceled after a fraudulent company impersonated his agency to secure a booking contract.

According to INB100, Xiumin's agency, his scheduled appearance at the "Asia Culture Festival 2026," set for June 9 and 10 at Tokyo Garden Theater in Japan, has been canceled. It emerged belatedly that the company the festival organizers contracted to book Xiumin was not his actual agency.

"The event organizers signed a contract on April 27 with a company other than ours to book Xiumin," INB100 said. "That company identified itself as 'Xiumin's agency' in the contract documents, committing a fraudulent act by falsely representing that it held an exclusive contract with Xiumin."

The company had no actual authority to represent Xiumin, his agency said. The event organizers, recognizing the conduct as clear fraud, immediately terminated their contract with the company.

INB100 also stressed that Xiumin bears no responsibility for the situation. The organizers said they too are victims, having prepared the event in good faith under the belief that the contract was legitimate.

"We regard this incident, which violated our artist's rights and caused confusion among fans, as a very serious criminal act," INB100 said. "We will take strong legal action without leniency against all parties involved in the fraudulent conduct."

Meanwhile, The Boyz member New is reportedly set to fill Xiumin's slot at the festival.
