Yoon Gyeong-hee, the People Power Party candidate for Cheongsong-gun chief, won the race in the 9th nationwide local elections, securing a fourth consecutive term leading the county.

In a victory statement Wednesday, Yoon thanked residents for again entrusting him with the county's administration. "I will carry the trust and support you have shown through your votes deep in my heart, and work with an even more humble attitude with my eyes fixed solely on the people of this county," he said.

He said that if the past years had been about laying the groundwork for change and growth in Cheongsong, the next four years would be devoted entirely to ensuring that every resident feels that change firsthand.

Yoon also acknowledged the weight of a fourth term. "I will make residents' voices the top priority of county governance and do my utmost to improve their quality of life and advance Cheongsong-gun with the sense of responsibility befitting the longest-serving county chief in North Gyeongsang Province," he said.

"The election is over — now is the time for harmony and unity," Yoon said. "The next four years will be the time to complete Cheongsong's new leap forward. I will be a county chief who never loses sight of first principles and finds answers on the ground."
