YouTuber and broadcaster Kwak Tube, whose real name is Kwak Jun-bin, is joining KBS2's parenting reality show "Superman Returns" with his 3-month-old son, offering a glimpse into his life as a new father.
A preview aired Wednesday featured Kwak as one of the show's new cast members. He married last October and became a father shortly after.
In the preview, Kwak said some viewers may not even know he got married, and described his parenting philosophy as "autonomous non-interference."
One moment that drew particular attention showed father and son asleep together. While Kwak slept, his son climbed onto his stomach and dozed off in the exact same position — the two looking so alike they could have been cast from the same mold.
Kwak held a private wedding ceremony at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on Oct. 11 last year with his wife, a civil servant five years his junior. He announced the birth of their child on March 24, writing that he had "become a dad in the warm spring."
A photo shared at the time drew attention for the baby's striking eyes, which viewers said resembled his mother's.
"He takes a lot after his mom," Kwak said. "I'll work hard. Thank you."
