Top-3 finishes in 19 of 24 independent evaluations

Continental Tire announced Thursday that it claimed first place in 13 categories across major European summer tire tests for 2026.

The German tiremaker finished first in 13 categories and placed in the top three 19 times across 24 independent evaluations conducted by European automotive publications, automobile clubs and mobility organizations this year.

The company earned high scores in key performance areas including braking, wet-surface grip and handling balance. Results were consistent across a broad portfolio spanning premium sedan tires, ultra-high-performance sports tires and sustainability-focused lines.

The flagship PremiumContact 7 took the overall top spot in a UHP summer tire test conducted by German automotive publication Auto Zeitung, earning recognition for balanced performance on both wet and dry surfaces.

The sustainability-focused UltraContact NXT also received strong marks in a summer tire test carried out by the German automobile club AvD.

The ultra-high-performance SportContact 7 ranked first in a UHP tire test by German automotive outlet Auto Bild Sportscars, with precise handling and strong braking performance cited as its key strengths.

"We will continue to expand our product portfolio and brand experience so that consumers in Korea can experience Continental's premium technology."

The SportContact 7 is an ultra-high-performance tire designed for high-performance sports cars and premium vehicles. It is available in the domestic replacement tire market in sizes ranging from 19 to 22 inches.

Continental, founded in 1871, posted sales of approximately 19.7 billion euros ($22.9 billion) in 2025 and currently employs about 78,000 people across 54 countries and markets.
