Seoul's Gangdong-gu announced that a youth exchange delegation from its sister city of Musashino, Tokyo, will visit the district during the summer vacation period.

In response, the district is recruiting host families through June 24 to support the delegation's cultural exchange activities and homestay program.

The 12-member Musashino youth delegation will visit Gangdong-gu from July 23 to 27. During that visit, the group will spend two nights — July 24 to 26 — with local host families as part of the homestay program.

The youth delegations from both cities will visit major landmarks together, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, and take part in a range of cultural exchange events featuring traditional Korean experiences. The program aims to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen friendship between the two cities.

Application forms are available for download on the Gangdong-gu district website (Gangdong News section) from June 1 through June 24 and can be submitted by email or in person at the district's Administrative Support Division. Eligible applicants are families residing in Gangdong-gu or those with middle or high school students enrolled at a school in the district.
