A YouTuber with 1.86 million subscribers has been banned for life from an amusement park after filming a mukbang — an eating broadcast — while riding one of its roller coasters.

According to USA Today and other media outlets, popular YouTuber Alan Ferrell, 26, smuggled McDonald's chicken nuggets into Cedar Point amusement park in northern Ohio on May 19, hiding them in his pants before boarding the back seat of the park's Millennium Force roller coaster.

The ride stands roughly 94 meters tall and reaches a top speed of about 150 kilometers per hour.

Once the coaster was in motion, Ferrell pulled out the hidden box of chicken nuggets and began his mukbang. Even as the ride plunged vertically, he dipped nuggets into sweet and sour sauce. When he called out "Cameraman, sauce!" his companion produced the dipping sauce to help. Some of it flew backward and splattered on Ferrell's face. He finished seven of the 10 nuggets.

The video drew wide attention, racking up 840,000 views on YouTube and 740,000 on TikTok.

Park management, after learning of the stunt, said food and other items that could pose a choking hazard are prohibited on rides, and that dangerous or inappropriate behavior would not be tolerated.

The park said customers who violate its code of conduct would not be permitted to enter, and banned Ferrell for life from all locations in its chain. The park is also reportedly considering pressing charges against him.

In a media interview, Ferrell said he understood the park's position, noting that it simply did not want other guests to get hurt on the rides. "Personally, it was a really fun challenge," he added.

In a statement, Ferrell said the video was intended as comedy and was not meant to encourage people to break the rules.

Ferrell had pulled a similar stunt on the same roller coaster in June 2023, filming himself eating a cheeseburger during the ride. He was not banned at the time.
