YouTuber Eun Hyeon-jang, who runs the channel "God of Business," has released a tip claiming that Kim Se-eui, head of the YouTube channel Garosero Research, is plotting to use the mother of the late actor Kim Sae-ron as a shield to secure his release.

Eun published the tip in a video posted to his channel on May 31, releasing a recorded phone call with the informant under the title "[Emergency Release] Kim Se-eui Will Never Get Out of Jail. Kim Soo-hyun, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron."

The informant claims to have shared a detention cell with Kim for roughly two to three days. Kim was detained on May 26 on charges including defamation for allegedly spreading false information about actor Kim Soo-hyun.

The informant said Kim told him that the maximum pretrial detention period is six months, but that applying for a citizen jury trial could get him out in about three months.

The informant also said Kim planned to call Kim Sae-ron's mother as a witness at trial. Kim reportedly said he intended to make the public see her as a perpetrator as well — a move designed to shift public sentiment.

According to the informant, Kim said five people were involved in the case — including Kim Sae-ron's maternal uncle, mother and father — and complained that he was the only one detained despite being, in his words, the least culpable, having only broadcast the content. Kim reportedly said he would ultimately find a way out.

However, it has not been confirmed whether the informant actually shared a detention cell with Kim or whether Kim made such statements.

Eun said he decided to release the recording because the informant spoke in specific and credible terms, and added that he had completed a thorough review with a lawyer before making the content public.

"If the tip is true, it is shocking," Eun said, criticizing what he described as a calculated attempt to exploit the citizen jury trial system and the bereaved family to escape detention. He also called on Kim Se-eui's side to contact him if any part of the account was inaccurate, and invited the late Kim Sae-ron's family to share their views at any time.

Kim was detained on May 26 on charges including defamation for allegedly claiming that actor Kim Soo-hyun had dated the late actor Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor, and for spreading false claims that Kim Soo-hyun pressured Kim Sae-ron over debt repayment and drove her to her death. He also faces charges of using AI to fabricate evidence — including KakaoTalk messages and audio recordings — to support those false claims.

Kim Sae-ron's mother and other members of her family had been involved in the matter last year, providing tips when Kim Se-eui was making public allegations against actor Kim Soo-hyun.
