Digital asset custody service targets businesses and institutions
Multi-layered security combines AML monitoring, MPC and cold wallet
Stablecoin expansion fuels race for wallet infrastructure
AhnLab Blockchain Company (ABC), the blockchain subsidiary of cybersecurity firm AhnLab, entered the digital asset custody market for businesses and institutions Sunday with the official launch of ABC Cloud Wallet, a service designed to support the storage and management of digital assets.
ABC Cloud Wallet is a digital asset custody service available to individuals, companies, institutions and foundations through online registration. Beyond simple storage, the service lets organizations configure and manage digital asset operating permissions and policies according to their internal standards.
Core features include digital asset operations and access management tailored to corporate and institutional environments, along with a multi-layered security framework combining Multi-Party Computation (MPC), cold wallet storage and around-the-clock monitoring.
The service also provides on-chain anti-money laundering (AML) functionality and transaction monitoring powered by BICScan, ABC's proprietary blockchain intelligence service. Additional capabilities include Web3 security intelligence support, Wallet as a Service (WaaS)-based financial integration and scalability for stablecoin use.
ABC said the service is designed to help businesses and institutions build a digital asset storage and management framework while reducing the burden of operating separate infrastructure. The company also sees it as a way to adapt to the evolving landscape of stablecoin-based payments and settlement.
ABC's emphasis on stablecoin scalability reflects intensifying competition in the virtual asset wallet infrastructure space. As expectations grow for wider adoption of dollar-denominated stablecoin payments, securing wallet services capable of handling payments and settlement has emerged as a key priority across the industry.
"ABC Cloud Wallet distills the security and operational expertise ABC has built over three and a half years serving 2.4 million individual customers and more than 100 corporate customers, along with our proprietary wallet technology," ABC Chief Executive Kang Seok-gyun said. "As the digital asset market rapidly expands into payments, settlement and digital financial infrastructure, ABC will leverage its security capabilities and in-house wallet development technology to deliver safer Web3 financial infrastructure."
To mark the launch, ABC is running a promotional campaign offering complimentary onboarding support. The company plans to cover initial setup and integration costs on a limited basis to reduce the upfront burden for customers considering the service.
Applications and further details are available on the ABC Cloud Wallet website.
