Integrated review committee approves Moa Town management plan for the Myeongmok 3 and 8-dong area around 453-1 Beonji
The 2,334-unit large-scale complex and expanded infrastructure are expected to improve residential conditions significantly
Jungnang-gu announced that the Moa Town management plan for the area around 453-1 Beonji in Myeongmok 3 and 8-dong passed the 7th Small-Scale Housing Improvement Integrated Review Subcommittee of 2026, held May 14.
The approved Myeongmok 3 and 8-dong Moa Town project covers approximately 80,494 square meters. Five linked Moa Housing projects will be developed in tandem, supplying a total of 2,334 apartment units.
The management plan includes three key provisions: a zoning upgrade to improve project viability, raising the designation from second-class to third-class general residential zone; road widening on major thoroughfares from 6–8 meters to 11.5–15 meters to improve pedestrian safety and traffic conditions; and the creation of a children's park and public facilities.
Existing roads will be widened to up to 15 meters to ensure smooth traffic flow. The district also plans to build a connected transport network linking adjacent improvement zones and external arterial roads.
In addition, the district plans to expand lifestyle infrastructure — including a children's park, resident convenience facilities and shared community spaces — to create a safer, more walkable residential environment.
"We expect the passage of this Moa Town management plan to transform the Myeongmok 3 and 8-dong area into a more pleasant and well-organized residential complex," a Jungnang-gu official said. "We will continue to pursue systematic improvement projects to enhance the quality of life for residents and upgrade the residential environment."
