Dongguk University WISE Campus held a scholarship certificate ceremony Monday for the 2026 North Gyeongsang Province Nuclear Energy Specialist Training Project at the campus's Energy Engineering Building in Gyeongju.
The scholarships, part of North Gyeongsang Province's nuclear energy specialist training project, went to 20 students enrolled in the nuclear, energy and electrical engineering departments at Dongguk University WISE Campus who demonstrated outstanding academic performance and participation in the project's programs. The total award came to 10 million won ($7,450).
Ryu Jun-hyeong, a professor in the Creative Convergence Engineering College at Dongguk University WISE Campus, said the university would support students in developing into specialists for the East Coast nuclear cluster by running a range of programs — including scholarships, nuclear and energy education, and field visits — aimed at advancing the energy specialization of the North Gyeongsang region.
