Daewoo Engineering & Construction held its "Daewoo Culture Day" event over two days, Oct. 30-31, the company announced Friday.

The event was designed to offer employees and customers a range of cultural experiences and create a space for communication through cultural content.

At the heart of the event was a group screening of "Still Brilliant," the first content investment title selected by Studio Prugio, a subsidiary of Daewoo E&C.

On Oct. 30, 250 Daewoo E&C employees took part in a "Team Synergy Workshop with Film," with participants recruited in teams through a story-submission contest. The format was intended to let team members step away from their everyday work environment, share a cultural experience together and connect naturally. Director Song Il-gon and actor Cho Sung-ha attended the event.

"It was meaningful to step away from daily life for a moment and enjoy a cultural experience with my colleagues," one Daewoo E&C employee said. "Like the story of the two protagonists who stood by each other and shared friendship even in difficult times, it was a precious occasion to reflect on the value of lasting friendship and warm comfort."

On Saturday, a group screening was held for followers of Prugio's official SNS accounts. "Beyond the story of the two girls' friendship, the historical backdrop added a deeper resonance, and the era's story left a heavy feeling in my heart," one winner said. "Thanks to Daewoo E&C for giving us the chance to watch such a meaningful film together, it was an especially memorable and wonderful time."

"This 'Daewoo Culture Day' was organized so that employees and customers could enjoy and connect through film as a cultural medium," a Daewoo E&C official said. "Going forward, we will continue to offer new cultural experiences through diverse content, and work to build warm common ground with society by creating cultural value that goes beyond ordinary business activity."

"Still Brilliant" is generating word of mouth as the film marking actor Kim Hye-ja's return to the screen after nine years. Distributor Plus M Entertainment said the film has entered an extended run in its third week of release, with corporate group screenings continuing.
