Cabin crew to see 2% rise in base pay and flight allowances; cockpit crew to receive 2% base pay hike and higher landing fees
Jin Air said its management and union have reached a tentative wage agreement for 2026.
The carrier said the deal was struck Wednesday morning at its headquarters in Magok, Seoul, with negotiators from both sides in attendance.
Under the tentative agreement, general, technology and aviation maintenance staff will receive a wage increase of up to 2% of total compensation, cabin crew will see their base pay and flight allowances rise 2%, and cockpit crew will receive a 2% base pay increase along with higher landing fees.
The agreement is subject to a ratification vote by union members. If approved, the wage increases will be applied retroactively from April 2026.
"Management and labor have consistently built a deep foundation of trust since signing the 'Joint Declaration for Labor-Management Coexistence' in 2019," a Jin Air official said. "Particularly in 2024, the 'Labor-Management Cooperation Declaration for Integration and Coexistence' laid a solid groundwork for the launch of an integrated low-cost carrier."
The official added that the agreement "reaffirmed the firm trust between labor and management" and pledged to "continue strengthening cooperation based on a culture of mutual growth."
Meanwhile, Jin Air recently held a company sports day at Yeongmaru Park on Yeongjongdo in Incheon, bringing together about 130 employees from the maintenance divisions of Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul.
The event followed the recent completion of the first-phase integration of the three carriers' maintenance offices at major domestic airports. With maintenance staff from all three airlines now working under the same roof, the gathering was organized to reduce the sense of separate corporate identities and build a spirit of cooperation among employees.
