Yeongdeok-gun in North Gyeongsang Province announced Thursday that it has presented an appointment certificate to Lee An-guk, the newly named third chairman of the Yeongdeok Welfare Foundation.
County Chief Jo Ju-hong presented the certificate to Lee on Wednesday, urging the new chairman to work toward improving community welfare and ensuring the foundation's stable operations.
Lee's term runs through Nov. 3, 2028.
Lee previously served as director of the Yeongdeok-gun Volunteer Center and director of the Yeongdeok-gun Family Center.
The Yeongdeok Welfare Foundation works to improve the welfare of county residents by addressing gaps in social services and connecting people with private welfare resources.
"I feel a profound sense of responsibility," Lee said. "I will communicate actively with the community, listen closely to voices from the welfare field, and build a Yeongdeok Welfare Foundation that residents can trust."
