50 additional Asian dealers, customers invited Thursday
Volvo Group Korea held the "2026 Volvo Days Korea" event at its Changwon factory Monday and Tuesday, featuring demonstration and test-ride programs for next-generation excavators and wheel loaders, the company announced Thursday.
The event was designed to let customers examine Volvo Construction Equipment's latest products firsthand and experience their performance and key technologies. This year's program centered on next-generation excavators and wheel loaders, with product exhibitions, equipment demonstrations, test rides and factory tours. About 210 people attended, including more than 10 customers from Japan.
Volvo Construction Equipment Regional Asia Sales Vice President Joachim Arndorw and Volvo Group Korea Domestic Sales and Service Division Vice President Lee Myung-gwan were on hand to greet customers.
Volvo Construction Equipment has been rolling out its next-generation excavator series and new wheel loader models since last year. Participants examined key excavator models and next-generation equipment including the large wheel loader L260, experiencing their performance and ease of operation through demonstrations and test rides.
Participants also toured the production lines at the Changwon factory, a major excavator manufacturing hub. Factory staff explained production processes and quality control, while research and development, sales and service representatives answered customer questions about products and maintenance. Volvo Group Korea said it plans to incorporate feedback gathered at the event into future product and service improvements.
"Volvo continues to innovate in product performance and technology through its next-generation excavator and wheel loader series," Arndorw said. "We hope this event gives our customers the opportunity to experience Volvo's latest technology firsthand and share their thoughts freely."
Volvo Group Korea is also holding an additional program Thursday for 50 customers and dealer representatives from key Asian markets including the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. They are scheduled to examine construction equipment and electrification machinery used in general construction, quarrying and mining, and demolition. Combined with the earlier sessions, total participation across the full event reaches about 260 people.
"This event was a meaningful occasion to showcase Volvo's next-generation construction equipment directly to customers at home and abroad, and to engage in in-depth conversations about the products and services they need on actual job sites," Vice President Lee said. "We will continue to listen closely to the diverse working environments and needs of our domestic customers, and stand by them as a partner that enhances their productivity and business competitiveness."
Meanwhile, Volvo Group Korea has been actively pursuing open communication and mutual-growth management — hosting the "2026 Volvo Suppliers Day" event in July, which drew about 200 attendees including representatives from more than 120 domestic partner companies and company executives.
