Actor Yoo Yeon-seok made a surprise confession that he once ran a bar in Itaewon.
Actors Lee Dong-hwi and Yang Se-jong appeared as guests on Tuesday's episode of the SBS variety program "Tteummanyamyeon,."
The two guests joined MC Yoo Jae-seok and Yoo Yeon-seok on a visit to Haebangchon in Seoul, where they met with local residents.
The four then met a pair of sisters from Turkey who run a cafe in Haebangchon, the first "gap owners" featured on the show.
Listening to the sisters' story, Yoo Yeon-seok shared an unexpected revelation about his own experience as a small-business owner. "I ran a bar in Itaewon for nearly five years," he said.
Yoo went on to say that four years into a business is exactly when the hard decisions come. "Most leases run five years, so that's when you start wondering whether to renew," he said, drawing on his own experience running the bar.
Meanwhile, Yoo made his debut in the 2003 film "Oldboy" and has since appeared in the drama series "Reply 1994," "Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" and "Hospital Playlist," among others.
