Event runs through Friday at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas
City to promote strategic industries and seek global investors
Ulsan will participate in Invest Korea Summit 2026, held Wednesday through Friday at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, to promote the city's investment environment and attract foreign capital. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency).
The summit brings together domestic and international investors, local governments, leading Korean companies and foreign diplomatic missions in Korea, with a focus on AI transformation in manufacturing and regional development. Programming includes an investment pledge ceremony, academic conferences and panel discussions, local government investment environment IR sessions, promotional exhibitions and industrial site tours.
Ulsan, together with the Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority, will introduce the city's industrial base, investment environment and foreign investment incentives to domestic and overseas investors. The city will also outline its vision for future industries through AI transformation of its core sectors — automobiles, shipbuilding and petrochemicals.
The Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority will highlight the city's industrial competitiveness around its three key strategic industries: future mobility, advanced chemical materials, and hydrogen and low-carbon energy. Officials will explain major investment projects and site conditions, and provide information on investment opportunities in the Ulsan KTX transit-oriented area and the second zone of the Hitech Valley general industrial complex, both currently in pre-sale.
"Through this event, where domestic and international investors converge, we will actively promote Ulsan's differentiated industries — which are integrating AI into a manufacturing base — and turn that visibility into actual investment," a city official said.
