First application in Asan, South Chungcheong Province
Partner network grows to 21 construction companies
Samsung C&T's construction division signed a memorandum of understanding with Geumseong Baekcjo Group on Tuesday at the latter's headquarters in Daejeon to introduce "Yemiji by Homenic," a residential services app. Homenic, Samsung C&T's home platform, has now signed MOUs with 21 domestic construction companies, broadening its foothold in the smart residential services market.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials including Executive Vice President Kim Myung-seok, head of Samsung C&T's Housing Product Marketing division; Senior Managing Director Ji So-young, head of Samsung C&T's H&B Platform team; and Executive Managing Director Song Tae-ho, head of Geumseong Baekcjo's Architecture Business division.
Under the agreement, Geumseong Baekcjo will introduce Yemiji by Homenic at Block A2 of the Mojong Saetdeul district in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, where pre-sales are scheduled for February 2027, with plans to roll it out at future complexes as well. The app aims to improve residents' quality of life by offering home IoT controls, community facility reservations, visitor vehicle registration, lifestyle support center notices, group chat and community gathering features, energy management and life services.
Geumseong Baekcjo said the adoption of Yemiji by Homenic is part of a strategy to sharpen its smart residential technology edge in both public and private housing project markets. The two companies plan to continuously enhance customer services through residential technologies including an AI parking service, an integrated energy remote monitoring system and inter-floor noise reduction technology.
Samsung C&T launched the Homenic residential lifestyle platform in August 2023 and has since expanded partnerships with domestic construction companies including SK Eco Plant, Hanwha Construction, Hoban Construction, Gyeryong Construction and Woomee Construction. The company has been broadening the platform's reach by tailoring services to each partner's characteristics and residential environment.
"Through this MOU, we will deliver a higher level of smart residential services to residents and realize customer satisfaction grounded in our company's core values of integrity and trust," Song said.
"We will provide Yemiji by Homenic services to Geumseong Baekcjo residents to enhance their living convenience and satisfaction, and will continue to expand smart residential technology partnerships to bring new value to residents' daily lives," Kim said.
Meanwhile, Samsung C&T added four lifestyle convenience services to Homenic in August: Cheongyeon, a household cleaning service; Gotcha, a mobile car wash and vehicle management service; Wayo, a pet care service; and Pickot, a laundry pickup service.
