Following a recruitment event, CJ Logistics expands its collaboration with the popular online game into playable content, unveiling five co-branded items
CJ Logistics announced Wednesday that it has launched five collaboration items for the popular online game Tales Runner, featuring its integrated brand One-e. The move follows a recruitment event held in August and marks an expansion of the partnership into game content, as the company looks to deepen its connection with Generation Z.
The collaboration was designed to boost brand familiarity by bringing familiar elements of CJ Logistics' operations — delivery vehicles and shipping boxes — to life as in-game items. Rather than simple brand exposure, the company plans to broaden customer engagement through participatory content that lets users earn and use the items themselves.
The five co-branded items recreate logistics staples seen on the job — including a CJ Logistics vest, a delivery vehicle and a shipping box — as playable assets within the game. Users can obtain all five items for free by completing five quests, each made up of various missions. The collaboration items will be available through Feb. 17 next year.
CJ Logistics has also set up an event to connect the in-game brand experience with its actual delivery service. Through Dec. 2, the company will hold a random draw among users who collect all five collaboration items, awarding 1,000 winners coupons for its person-to-person delivery service, Bona-One-e.
Earlier in August, CJ Logistics held an offline recruitment event that blended the running trend with the Tales Runner intellectual property. The event translated in-game mechanics — running, jumping and clearing obstacles — into hands-on logistics job experiences, with participants completing team missions that mirrored real-world collaboration and problem-solving on the logistics floor.
"Following the recruitment event that drew an enthusiastic response from Generation Z applicants, we designed this collaboration so that people can experience the CJ Logistics brand inside a game as well," a company official said. "We will continue to expand opportunities for customers to experience our services in new ways through diverse content that touches their everyday lives."
Meanwhile, CJ Logistics recently wrapped up a small-business solidarity campaign called "Living Together, Value One-e," which supported independent food vendors.
The campaign was a follow-up to last year's "10,000-Won Review" project, which spotlighted small food brands. It combined logistics cost subsidies with YouTube promotional content and sales events to help small business owners expand their market reach.
This year, the initiative ran under the name "National Delivery Food Gem Discovery Project," with an open call for food vendors across the country. The application period ran for about a month from April 27, drawing 226 companies.
CJ Logistics evaluated applicants on product competitiveness and delivery suitability, selecting 27 companies and providing them with delivery subsidies. Of those, 10 companies chosen through a blind review received additional support in the form of YouTube promotional content production and sales events.
