Kyobo Asset Management announced Tuesday that CEO Cho Hwi-seong has joined the "Life-Saving Finance" relay campaign organized by the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency to prevent illegal private lending harm and promote the social value of inclusive finance.

Cho joined the campaign after being nominated by Kyobo Securities CEO Lee Seok-gi and named Kim Ki-hyun, CEO of Kiwoom Investment Asset Management, and Kim Dae-il, CEO of Shinyoung Securities, as the next participants.

Cho shared the message "Life-saving finance will protect people so they are no longer driven to illegal private lenders," raising awareness alongside employees about the importance of protecting financially vulnerable groups and preventing harm from illegal lending.

"Protecting those who suffer from illegal private lending and helping financially vulnerable people use financial services with confidence is a social responsibility that financial companies must address together," Cho said. "We will continue to put the social value of finance into practice and work to spread a culture of inclusive finance."

Meanwhile, the campaign is a public-interest initiative the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency launched in July to protect people harmed by illegal private lending and spread the values of "life-saving finance" across society. Participants post a photo carrying the campaign message on SNS and then nominate the next person to take part.
