LX Semicon, South Korea's largest fabless semiconductor design company, has replaced its chief executive for the first time in three years.

The company said Tuesday its board approved the 2027 regular executive reshuffle, designating Na Jun-ho, head of the strategic marketing division and executive vice president, as the new CEO. Na is expected to be formally appointed at the annual shareholder meeting and board meeting scheduled for March next year.

Born in 1968, Na is eight years younger than incumbent CEO Lee Yun-tae, who was born in 1960. Na joined LX Semicon in 2001 after working at LG's semiconductor unit.

Na has led the development and business growth of display system semiconductors, having served as head of the driver IC development division, head of the large display development group and head of the TV and IT business division. Na is credited with contributing to companywide sales growth through a deep understanding of technology.

Since 2024, Na has overseen the strategic marketing division, managing marketing, sales, procurement and supply chain operations for new businesses — including microcontroller units and thermal substrates — alongside the display system semiconductor business, building a foundation for the company's sustainable growth.

LX Semicon said it plans to further strengthen its market position in core businesses and identify future growth opportunities amid a rapidly changing technology and industry landscape, drawing on Na's market- and customer-focused strategic insight, drive and operational capabilities. The company also said it will upgrade its risk management framework.

In addition, Kang Mun-seok, a principal researcher, was newly appointed as a director.

"This executive reshuffle reflects our performance-driven approach," a company official said. "We plan to accelerate efforts to strengthen business competitiveness and secure future growth engines by actively promoting talent with the expertise and strong execution capabilities needed to lead organizational change and innovation."
