'Switch before the year ends' — Monday through Dec. 11; customers who convert receive 30,000 won cashback and other benefits

BNK Busan Bank announced Tuesday it will hold a cashback event for customers who convert their existing housing subscription deposits or installment savings accounts into a comprehensive housing subscription account. The event is designed to inform existing housing subscription account holders of the benefits of the comprehensive account and offer additional incentives for making the switch.

Running from Monday through Dec. 11, the event offers a 30,000 won ($22) cashback to customers who complete the conversion. To qualify, customers must keep the converted account open until the cashback is paid out and consent to marketing use of their information. The event is limited to the first 300 accounts.

Under the previous system, the type of housing a customer could apply for through apartment subscription was restricted by the type of account held. Converting to a comprehensive housing subscription account allows customers to apply for both public and private housing, broadening their options. The new account also offers a higher interest rate than the older deposit and installment savings accounts.
