Kyungpook National University Hospital announced Monday that it received a top rating in the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service's 2026 healthcare quality evaluation, earning a first-grade rating for the seventh consecutive year across the categories of patient safety, medical quality, public service, and care delivery and support.

The hospital also received first-grade ratings in the education and training and research categories, recognition of its research capabilities and its system for developing specialized medical personnel.

As a regional hub medical institution, the hospital has worked to strengthen essential and emergency medical services in the area, support medically underserved populations, and build a self-sufficient regional healthcare system.

"The seventh consecutive first-grade rating is the result of every staff member's efforts to improve patient safety and healthcare quality," said Jeon Young-hun, president of Kyungpook National University Hospital. "We will continue to enhance our competitiveness across clinical care, education and research, and faithfully fulfill our role as a regional public medical institution."
