A sergeant in the Army died after sustaining traumatic injuries at a frontline unit in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province.

The Army said Monday that a sergeant was found unconscious with traumatic injuries at a frontline unit in Cheorwon that morning and was later pronounced dead.

"Military and civilian investigative authorities are currently looking into the exact cause and circumstances of the incident," the Army said.
