Ulsan kicked off the 2026 Christmas Culture Festival at Taehwagang National Garden on Sunday, marking the start of a month packed with cultural events across the city.

The Christmas Culture Festival transforms the stretch from the Meeting Plaza to the zelkova tree path at Taehwagang National Garden with a large Christmas tree, decorative light installations and photo zones, giving residents and tourists a winter nighttime attraction. The display is set to run through Jan. 3.

From Wednesday through Sunday, the first through third exhibition halls of the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center will host the 29th Ulsan Metropolitan City Architecture Exhibition, showcasing creative design works submitted by architects from across the country.

On Saturday at 3:30 p.m., members of the Ulsan Metropolitan City Federation of Culture Centers and performing groups from the city's five districts and counties will gather at the Royal Willow Yard in Taehwagang National Garden for a folk arts competition and traditional culture performance.

On Nov. 14 at 5 p.m., the main hall of the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center will host the 2026 Haeoreum Alliance Choral Festival, featuring nine amateur choral groups from Ulsan, Pohang and Gyeongju.

From Nov. 26 through Nov. 29, the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center (UECO) will host the 2026 Ulsan Culture Expo, bringing together the city's cultural resources and future content under one roof.

The expo floor will be organized into four zones — a Future City Hall, a Regional Culture Hall, a Cultural Products Hall and a Cultural Exchange Hall — to share Ulsan's cultural policy achievements and highlights from the local arts scene. A pop-up store for Ulsan's mascot character "Haemong," a children's culture playground and rest areas will also be available.
