Samjinfood reopened its Samjin Eomuk Seomyeon store Friday at Lotte Department Store's Busan main branch following a full renovation.

The Seomyeon store first opened in 2014 and has since served as a key sales hub in the Busan area. The renovation relocated the store from the first to the second below-ground floor's deli zone, aiming to improve spatial efficiency and expand customer touchpoints.

The redesigned store features a more compact yet efficient layout than its predecessor. Product categories — refrigerated fish cakes, deli items, steamed fish cakes and fish cake soup — are arranged in a concentrated format to minimize the distance customers travel from browsing to checkout. The move to the second below-ground floor deli zone is expected to draw more foot traffic from shoppers visiting for meals and snacks.

The product lineup centers on items with high customer demand. A total of 28 products are available, including five hot deli items, nine standard fish cake varieties, three fish cake soup products, five refrigerated packaged products, one multipack and five shelf-stable products. Merchandise and gift sets are also on sale. The store will also offer a handmade assorted skewer fish cake soup, designed to give customers a differentiated fish cake experience.

Lee Yu-hwan, head of Samjinfood's store business division, said the renovation improved both the store layout and product selection "so that customers can more conveniently experience a wide range of fish cake products."
