226 food businesses applied; 27 selected for support
Delivery subsidies paired with YouTube promotions and sales events
Ondam Food reports 600% sales surge after campaign
CJ Logistics said Monday it had concluded a co-prosperity campaign called "Hamkke Sane, Gachione" ("Living Together, Coming Together with Value"), which supported small food businesses by easing logistics costs while linking product promotions through YouTube content and sales events to help vendors expand their reach.
The campaign was a follow-up to last year's "Manwon Review" project, which spotlighted small food brands. This year, CJ Logistics ran a nationwide open recruitment drive under the banner "National Delivery Food Gem Discovery Project."
The application period ran for about a month from April 27, drawing 226 companies. CJ Logistics evaluated product competitiveness and delivery suitability, selecting 27 businesses and providing delivery subsidies. Of those, 10 companies chosen through a blind review received additional support, including YouTube promotional content production and sales events.
The promotions featured CJ Logistics' YouTube channel "Igeoone" and a creator known as Heukbaek Review, who has 860,000 subscribers. The segment "O-Gwajangne Taekbae Hankki," built around the concept of an office worker eating a meal delivered by courier after work, introduced products including kimchi stew, braised short ribs and marinated crab. The content has accumulated 4.28 million views.
Two businesses that drew strong consumer responses were also featured on Heukbaek Review's main channel, with sales events held alongside the video releases. Ondam Food, a specialist in marinated crab dishes, said sales rose roughly 600 percent compared to its previous average immediately after the campaign.
Kim In-su, CEO of Ondam Food, said the company was so busy that even leaving work at 4 a.m. did not feel tiring. "I am grateful to CJ Logistics for giving us the opportunity to reach more consumers and grow our business," Kim said. "The most important thing when selling marinated crab online is safe and fresh delivery — and we are satisfied not only with the delivery quality but also with the fast and accurate communication from the local branch."
A CJ Logistics official said the company wanted to provide real sales opportunities for small businesses that have good products but struggle to grow due to the burden of marketing and logistics. "We will continue our co-prosperity efforts, using our nationwide logistics network and digital content capabilities to grow together with our clients," the official said.
Meanwhile, CJ Logistics recently developed a next-generation digital assorting system, or DAS, capable of sorting products arriving at its logistics centers more quickly and accurately. The system guides workers via digital displays, showing them where and how many items to place at each location.
