HL Group announced Monday that it has carried out its 2026 executive reshuffle under a "disruption" mandate aimed at breaking from established norms.

HL Mando will shift from a product-centered structure to a region-centered one, simplifying its three-pillar framework of product, function and region into two axes — region and function — to accelerate decision-making and project execution. A Korea regional head position has been created alongside the existing China, Americas, India and Europe roles to strengthen accountability.

Park Young-moon has been appointed CEO of HL Mando and head of the Auto Sector. Bae Hong-yong, executive vice president, will serve as chief technology officer, overseeing the research organization, and will concurrently hold the role of chief digital officer. The regional heads are: Executive Vice President Lee Jeong-seok for Korea, Executive Vice President Kim Pyeong-yong for China, Executive Vice President Kim Jae-hyeok for the Americas, Executive Vice President Kim Seong-il for India and Managing Director Ji Su-hwan for Europe.

The functional chiefs appointed are: Chief Financial Officer Executive Vice President Lee Cheol, Chief Marketing Officer Executive Vice President Yoo Ho-young, Chief Operating Officer Executive Vice President Hong Young-il, Chief Procurement Officer Senior Managing Director Seo Gap-yong and Chief Quality Officer Senior Managing Director Kim Gyeong-rae. Senior Managing Director Namgung Hyeon will head the Mexico subsidiary.

Song Ki-taek, executive managing director, and Yoo Jae-eon, managing director, have been tapped to lead HL Holdings' business division and HL Ecotech, respectively. Song previously headed the integrated logistics business unit, while Yoo oversaw human resources at HL D&I Halla. The company said it plans to place younger leaders at the forefront to improve earnings across existing businesses and build a stronger project portfolio.

HL Group is also reinforcing its future growth strategy at the group level. It has created a new group strategy chief role and appointed Jeong Jae-young, senior executive vice president of HL Holdings' holding company division, to the position. Jeong will concurrently serve as group CFO. The group said it will align strategic direction across subsidiaries, identify new businesses and pursue new value chains.
