Exhibition runs through Sunday at Arart Center in Insadong
Concepts developed around KGM's design identity
Company provided feedback and model production support
KG Mobility announced Friday that it has partnered with Kookmin University to develop students' creative mobility design ideas into finished works, now on display as part of a graduation project exhibition.
KGM said the collaboration began in January with a proposal from Kookmin University and moved into full development in March. Students then worked through concept planning and research, design refinement, 3D modeling and painting to complete their pieces. For the six works ultimately selected from among all graduation projects, KGM's design center provided design feedback and model production support to help bring the students' ideas to life.
The exhibition runs through Sunday at Arart Center in Insadong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and features a total of 26 works. The six selected pieces span the exterior design category — TRINITY, TAN, TERRON, DRUS and ZIP — and the mobility category, represented by MADI.
Each work draws on KGM's design identity and explores a different vision of future mobility, with concepts ranging from off-road capability and harmony with nature to vehicles designed to enhance everyday lifestyle convenience.
KGM said it hopes the collaboration will help students translate creative ideas into tangible models and gain hands-on production experience, contributing to the development of practical skills and the cultivation of future design talent.
"We will continue to pursue the direction of mobility design from a long-term perspective through sustained and diverse industry-academia collaboration projects," a KGM official said. "On that basis, we will work to broaden shared understanding of KGM's design philosophy and direction."
KGM previously carried out graduation project collaborations with Sejong University and Hongik University in 2024, and in 2025 took part in a university partnership program run by the Seoul Design Foundation, continuing its ongoing efforts in future design research and talent development through industry-academia cooperation.
Meanwhile, KGM recently held a customer appreciation event at its regional service center in Gunpo, offering free vehicle inspections and sharing information on car maintenance and the importance of regular upkeep. About 40 people from 20 families, selected by lottery from among applicants, attended the event.
