Daegu University has launched a tailored employment support initiative targeting university students, local youth and high school students.

The university held the "DU-North Gyeongsang Province Anchor Job Fair" at Changpa Library on Wednesday.

Held under the slogan "Stay GB! DU JOB FAIR," the event drew 40 companies — including public institutions and advanced venture firms from the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province region — which offered recruitment consultations and employment information.

A specialized fair featuring 12 semiconductor-related companies, including partners of Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, was also organized to provide tailored hiring opportunities for students seeking careers in advanced industries.

A semiconductor job academy with on-site hiring interviews was held for high school students as well. About 50 students from five meister high schools and specialized vocational high schools in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province area took part, exploring career paths and connecting with potential employers through company interviews.

Alongside this, side events were held to help students prepare for job applications, including personal color consultations and free resume photo shoots.

"I hope this became an opportunity for students to receive recruitment information and employment counseling in one place and gain practical hiring opportunities," Daegu University President Yoon Jae-woong said.
