The Korea Land and Housing Corporation's Daegu-North Gyeongsang branch conducted a 2026 disaster response drill Thursday at a soundproof tunnel construction site adjacent to the Yeonho district in Daegu.
The drill brought together the LH Daegu-North Gyeongsang branch and local agencies including the Suseong Police Station's Gosan district unit and the Suseong Fire Station.
The exercise focused on reviewing each agency's roles and response procedures under simulated disaster conditions and on strengthening coordinated cooperation among the participating organizations.
The scenario assumed a vehicle collision inside the tunnel while one lane was closed for repair work.
Participants walked through each stage of the response process — from the initial reaction to the incident, situation reporting, scene control and search and rescue, through to the movement of disaster management resources.
Particular attention was paid to preventing secondary accidents and to building a rapid inter-agency coordination system at the scene.
Oh Seong-jun, acting head of the LH Daegu-North Gyeongsang branch, said the organization would "continue to prevent accidents and minimize casualties in the event of a disaster through effective drills and thorough safety inspections."
