HS Hwaseong said Thursday it had visited the Army's Second Operations Command in Manchon-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, and presented a 10 million won ($7,480) consolation fund.
The presentation ceremony was attended by HS Hwaseong Honorary Chairman Lee In-joong and Second Operations Commander Gen. Kim Ho-bok, along with officials from both sides.
HS Hwaseong said it donates consolation funds each year to the Second Operations Command and the Army's 50th Infantry Division to recognize the efforts of troops working to protect regional security and support local communities.
In 2023, the company also signed an MOU to improve the residential environment and welfare of Korean War veterans and their families, as part of its broader support for those who have dedicated themselves to the nation.
"The peace and daily lives we enjoy today are the result of the sweat and sacrifice of the soldiers who devote themselves to the country and its people," Honorary Chairman Lee said. "We will continue our support and cooperation so that we may repay their noble dedication."
