Chairman Park Jae-bok presents 20 million won to Samjeong School Foundation
'Future talent must not give up studies due to financial hardship'
The Korea Housing Builders Association's Busan Metropolitan chapter presented a 20 million won ($15,000) scholarship to Samjeong High School in Buk-gu, Busan, on Thursday, to support the cultivation of local talent.
Chairman Park Jae-bok met with Lee Geun-cheol, chairman of the Samjeong School Foundation, to present the scholarship. "The talented individuals who will lead our country in the future must never be forced to abandon their studies for financial reasons," Park said, adding that "all of society must work together to support those who nurture their dreams for tomorrow, even in difficult circumstances."
The Korea Housing Builders Association is a statutory organization whose members include housing construction companies from across the country. Its core activities include policy recommendations to promote residential stability for ordinary citizens and expand housing supply, fostering cooperation among member companies, and carrying out social contribution activities.
The Busan Metropolitan chapter, in particular, represents the local housing construction industry and has consistently pursued community-sharing initiatives aimed at improving the residential welfare of Busan residents and promoting mutual growth with the broader community, fulfilling its social responsibilities.
