Gyeongil University's KIU University Job Plus Center held its 2026 Job Festa over three days from Tuesday to Thursday at the central library lobby on campus.

The event offered tailored mentoring sessions organized by academic major and consultations on youth employment policy, helping students explore career paths and prepare for the job market.

Tuesday's sessions covered sports, nursing, emergency rescue, social welfare, police, aviation and psychology. Wednesday focused on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, civil engineering, fire safety, railways and real estate, while Thursday's program served students in photography and video, cartoon animation, gaming, design, media and beauty.

Working professionals from a range of companies and institutions served as mentors, including the Daegu Fire and Safety Headquarters, Nonghyup, the Korea Racing Authority, iM Bank, Seohan, Autonomous A2Z, A-jin Industry, the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency, the Daegu-North Gyeongsang Province Design Promotion Agency and 3H.

Through the mentors, students received detailed advice on the day-to-day realities of their target roles, hiring processes and the competencies employers look for on the job.

The event also featured a youth employment policy information program that provided students with details on available job support programs and related resources.

"We will continue working with companies and related institutions to give students meaningful opportunities for employment support," said Kim Ho-kwon, director of the center.
