Contract covers 50-ton RGO units for domestic recyclers by 2027; company eyes overseas expansion into Indonesia, Vietnam and beyond
Dosiujeun, a green energy and resource-circulation technology company, has partnered with PlasticX to supply waste-plastic recycling equipment worth 25 billion won ($18.7 million).
Dosiujeun announced Thursday that it had signed a contract with PlasticX to deliver a total of 50 tons of its RGO waste-plastic recycled-material production units, valued at 25 billion won in aggregate. The company specializes in eco-friendly resource circulation and holds proprietary technology for extracting high-value recycled material, known as RGO, through a low-temperature decomposition process.
Under the agreement, Dosiujeun plans to supply the equipment to domestic recyclers through PlasticX in 2027. The deal marks a significant expansion into the equipment-supply market, following the completion of its Wavve Jeongeup commercial plant in North Jeolla Province in November last year and the start of recycled-material exports in August. The move is expected to help recyclers that have traditionally focused on collection and sorting move into higher-value recycled-material production.
Dosiujeun's core technology decomposes waste vinyl and plastic at around 300 degrees Celsius using indirect electric heating and specialized ceramic materials — without direct incineration. The process converts waste plastic into high-value RGO that can be used directly in the petrochemical industry. The company has completed technical verification, earning a New Excellent Technology certification from South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as well as the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification Plus, known as ISCC PLUS.
Dosiujeun completed the Wavve Jeongeup plant in November 2025 in partnership with Woori Technology, giving it the capacity to process about 24 tons of waste plastic per day. The company began exporting recycled materials in August 2026, establishing a foothold in global supply chains. It is currently in talks with companies in Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia and Saudi Arabia on plant construction and technology cooperation.
"If Wavve Jeongeup was the starting point that proved our proprietary technology could be commercialized, this contract is a turning point that will spread our technology and equipment into domestic and overseas markets," Dosiujeun Chief Executive Jeong Yeong-hun said. "Going forward, we will develop equipment supply and recycled-material production as our two main growth pillars and emerge as a global eco-friendly resource-circulation company."
PlasticX Chief Executive Jeong Byeong-seok said the company had a high regard for Dosiujeun's proprietary technology and the commercial results achieved at Wavve Jeongeup. "Through this contract, we will lead the move toward higher-value recycling in the domestic industry and combine both companies' strengths to jointly enter the global resource-circulation market," Jeong said.
