The health screening organization redefines its brand identity, pledging to become a 'lifelong health management partner' built on four decades of expertise and trust
KMI Korean Medical Institute marked its 41st anniversary Thursday by unveiling a new corporate identity and declaring a fresh vision: "Beyond health screening, toward health management."
The CI overhaul is part of a broader brand renewal project aimed at redefining KMI's identity and future direction. The redesign reflects the organization's commitment to expanding its role beyond health screenings — drawing on 41 years of diagnostic expertise and customer trust — to encompass ongoing health management after each checkup.
The new CI adopts teal blue as its signature color, symbolizing medical trust and professionalism alongside the vitality of a healthy life. The logo's vertical and horizontal lines convey the reliability and stability of a systematic health management framework, while diagonal lines represent the dynamic movement of vital signs and the energy of healthy living. Alongside this, a "Vital Line" composed of straight and curved elements expresses the flow of a healthy life. The Vital Line is designed to expand flexibly across various forms, embodying KMI's commitment to bringing health and vitality into customers' everyday lives.
KMI has long focused on providing accurate and accessible health screenings for the early detection and prevention of disease. The new vision — "Beyond health screening, toward health management" — signals the organization's intent to go further: helping customers properly understand their screening results and sustain healthy habits in their daily lives.
Building on its screening data and medical expertise, KMI plans to evolve into a "lifelong health management partner" that continuously monitors customers' health and supports wellness in everyday life. The organization said it will put its mission of "protecting health to benefit the world" into practice and fulfill its commitment to customers of "a lifetime of good health."
"KMI has safeguarded the health of the Korean public through health screenings for more than 40 years, and on our 41st anniversary we want to take one step further — beyond health screening, toward health management," Chairman Lee Gwang-bae said. "Grounded in the spirit of change embodied in our new CI, we will fulfill our role as a lifelong health management partner for the nation, extending our care to include management after each screening."
Founded in 1985, KMI Korean Medical Institute operates eight health screening centers nationwide — three in Seoul (Gwanghwamun, Yeouido and Gangnam) and one each in Suwon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju and Jeju. The organization also carries out a range of activities and social contribution programs aimed at early disease detection, prevention and the promotion of public health.
