The North Gyeongsang Cultural Foundation's Content Promotion Institute announced Thursday that "Oneuldo Porang!" (Porang Again Today), a webtoon co-produced by tenant companies of the North Gyeongsang Content Business Support Center, will launch on major domestic platforms Saturday.

The work marks the first result of a new content production support project the institute established this year to encourage collaboration among its tenant companies and support content development and commercialization.

The webtoon was jointly produced by tenant companies Rockin Korea and Design Group N. The two firms drew on the intellectual property of their "Porang" character — developed from the Yeonorang and Seonya myth of Pohang — to collaborate on everything from concept to story development, bringing a local legend to life in webtoon form.

The series follows the everyday life and growth of Subin, a human protagonist, alongside a cast of four-directional guardian spirit characters, each with special abilities, in a lighthearted story.

Episodes 1 through 10 will drop simultaneously Saturday, with one new episode added each week, bringing the series to a total of 15 episodes by December.

The webtoon will be available on Naver Series, Kakao Page, Ridibooks, Kyobo Book Centre, Aladin and YES24. The two companies have also completed English and Japanese localization and are in talks over overseas retail distribution.

"This webtoon is an example of tenant companies combining their respective strengths to show the new possibilities of a regional character IP," said Lee Jong-su, director of the Content Promotion Institute. "We will strengthen support so that collaboration between companies leads to actual content production and market entry, raising the competitiveness of regional content firms."
