A new travel promotion is offering visitors the chance to explore ancient Egyptian ruins while enjoying a mild winter climate.

Modoo Tour launched its "Egypt, A Special Invitation" promotion Tuesday, timed to coincide with what it calls the optimal travel season — October through March of next year — as well as the winter school holiday period.

Unlike Egypt's hot, dry summers, the country's winter months bring mild temperatures well suited to sightseeing. The promotion was designed with families seeking history and cultural experiences during the school break in mind.

Products are divided into six categories: direct flights to Cairo, business-class seats, visits to the Grand Egyptian Museum, a Modoo Tour signature package, an Egypt-Jordan combined tour, and guaranteed-departure options. The lineup is intended to serve a broad range of customers, from families traveling during the winter holidays to those looking for a mix of historical exploration and leisure.

Key itinerary highlights include the Grand Egyptian Museum, which holds more than 100,000 artifacts, along with visits to the Giza Pyramids, Abu Simbel temple, and the Valley of the Kings. A three-night deluxe Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor and an all-inclusive resort stay on the Red Sea coast in Hurghada are also part of the package. Additional perks include a shopping-free itinerary and a dedicated professional tour escort throughout. Further details are available on the Modoo Tour website.

Kang Min-gwan, head of the Europe division at Modoo Tour, said Egypt offers travelers a rare combination of ancient civilizational heritage, Nile cruising and Red Sea relaxation, and is particularly well suited for family history and culture trips given that the peak travel season aligns with Korea's winter school break. "With tourism content further enriched by the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum and backed by our accumulated local operational expertise, we will continue to expand our Egypt-themed travel products tailored to the tastes of a diverse customer base, including family travelers," he said.
