President Lee Jae Myung invited former National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik to Cheong Wa Dae on Monday for a luncheon that lasted about 90 minutes starting at noon.
Cheong Wa Dae Chief Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung announced the meeting in a written briefing that day, saying the lunch was arranged to thank Woo for his service as speaker during the first half of the 22nd National Assembly. Chief of Staff Im Gwang-hyeon also attended.
Lee and Woo exchanged views on a broad range of state affairs, Kang said, adding that Lee particularly emphasized the importance of national unity and that Woo expressed deep agreement.
