Kumho Tire announced Monday that it claimed the overall title at the 2026 O-NE Super Race Championship's Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 class for the second consecutive year, setting a record by winning all eight rounds of the season. Vehicles equipped with Kumho tires topped every round throughout the season, demonstrating overwhelming competitiveness on Korea's premier motorsport stage.

Lee Chang-wook of the Kumho SL Motorsport team, sponsored by Kumho Tire, won seven of the eight rounds this season and converted all seven victories into pole-to-win results, claiming the driver championship for the second straight year. The Kumho SL Motorsport team also retained the team championship for a second consecutive year, while Kumho Tire swept the tire manufacturer title — securing a clean sweep across the tire, driver and team categories.

In addition, Kumho SL Motorsport's Lee Jeong-woo and Junpitted Racing's Hwang Jin-woo finished second and third, respectively, in the final driver standings. Kumho Tire-equipped vehicles thus occupied all three podium positions in the driver championship.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 class is the top tier of domestic racing, where the country's highest-level stock cars compete. With vehicle output and performance closely matched across the field, tire performance is a decisive factor — encompassing grip through high-speed corners, stability under hard braking, sustained performance over long stints, and the ability to adapt to sudden changes in track conditions.

Kumho Tire demonstrated the performance of its racing tires across a variety of circuits and driving conditions this season. On dry surfaces marked by repeated high-speed corners and heavy braking, the tires delivered stable grip and precise handling to achieve fast lap times. Even when rain fell mid-race and track conditions changed abruptly, the tires maintained consistent performance and control.

"I'm very happy to have recorded all seven wins this season as pole-to-win results and to have become champion two years in a row," Lee said. "I'm grateful to the team and everyone at Kumho Tire for their support in helping me perform at my best every race. The tires showed outstanding performance and stability across a wide range of driving conditions, and that's what allowed me to keep delivering good results."

Shin Yeong-hak, director of the Kumho SL Motorsport team, said the entire team's united effort made the back-to-back team championship possible. "I'm grateful to everyone at Kumho Tire for their support in helping us perform at our best every race," he said. "We will continue to work hard to further develop the competitiveness of both the team and the tires, and to keep achieving strong results on the motorsport stage."

Yun Min-seok, Kumho Tire's senior vice president of global marketing, said winning every round of the eight-race season was a meaningful validation of the company's racing tire technology and competitiveness. "We will continue to refine our tire technology through motorsport and apply those advances to the development of high-performance products, strengthening our technological edge in the global market," he said.

Meanwhile, Kumho Tire continues to expand its customer brand touchpoints through a range of marketing activities, including participating as an official partner at "Netflix Janchi," a celebration marking the 10th anniversary of Netflix's service in Korea, held recently at the Culture Tank in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
