At 'Seoul-type Kids Cafe, Hanseong Baekje Museum'
Baby sound play 'Circle, Triangle, Square'
"Pansori, folk songs and traditional instruments on offer"
A performance offering babies and their caregivers an introduction to pansori, folk songs and traditional Korean instruments will be held at Hanseong Baekje Museum.
According to the museum, its Seoul Baekje Children's Museum will host a baby sound play titled "Circle, Triangle, Square" on Nov. 6 at the Seoul-type Kids Cafe located within the facility.
The production, presented by traditional arts collective Changjakhanun Taru, is designed as an arts experience tailored to infants. Using familiar shapes — circles, triangles and squares — as its theme, the show introduces pansori, folk songs and the sounds of traditional instruments, guiding young audiences through a range of rhythms and resonances.
"Without microphones or amplification equipment, babies can feel the performer's live voice and breath up close," a museum official said. "Babies are free to respond to the sounds and movements as they experience the art, while caregivers can share in the moment by responding to their child's small gestures and expressions."
The performance is open to infants aged 8 to 16 months and their accompanying caregivers, with a maximum of two caregivers per infant. Reservations are currently being accepted through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's public service booking system. Further details are available on the Seoul Baekje Children's Museum website.
