Industrial Bank of Korea has launched an online-only credit card featuring Pokémon characters.

The bank introduced the "I-Pokémon Credit Card" on Thursday, offering six designs based on popular characters — Pikachu, Eevee, Snorlax, Charizard, Team Rocket and Squirtle Fire Brigade.

The card offers discounts across everyday spending categories. Subscribers to streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube Premium receive 30 percent off, while fashion retailers and convenience stores offer 10 percent off. A 5 percent discount applies to restaurants, cafes, CJ Olive Young, Daiso, transportation and online food delivery services.

Available exclusively to individual customers, the card can be applied for through the i-ONE Bank personal app or the IBK Card app. Annual fees are 15,000 won ($11) for the domestic-only BC version and 18,000 won for the international version, which supports Visa and Mastercard.

"Through this card, we aim to offer customers both the joy of collecting beloved Pokémon and practical discounts in their daily lives," a bank official said. "We will continue to introduce products that reflect current trends and enhance customer satisfaction in everyday life."

Meanwhile, Industrial Bank of Korea is expanding digital financial services for corporate clients. On Tuesday, it became the first financial institution in South Korea to apply "corporate public MyData" to corporate deposit services, and plans to extend the system to corporate cards by year's end.
