Pop star Justin Bieber, 32, has returned to South Korea for the first time in about 13 years.
Bieber arrived Friday at Incheon International Airport alongside his wife, model Hailey Bieber. His last visit to Korea was in 2013 for his first concert here.
Shortly after landing, Bieber announced the trip himself by posting several photos on Instagram with the caption "Made it to Seoul."
The photos showed Han River bridges, roads and a sunset taken from inside a vehicle on the way from the airport to Seoul, along with a shot of the car's navigation screen. He also posted a selfie with his hood pulled low, looking directly at the camera.
The visit coincides with a pop-up store in Seoul for his fashion and lifestyle brand SKYLRK. The store runs Thursday through Sunday in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, marking the brand's first such event in South Korea and its fourth offline location after stops in Tokyo, Indio and New York. The Seoul pop-up features limited-edition "SKYLRK SEOUL" apparel exclusive to the location, as well as the brand's first audio product, a speaker.
Speculation that Bieber might appear at the event drew attention to the pop-up even before it opened. On the first day, visitors began lining up in the early hours of the morning — about nine hours before the doors opened — and stayed through the night. Bieber also made a personal appearance at the Tokyo pop-up in December last year, meeting fans there.
SKYLRK is a brand Bieber launched last year. It built a dedicated following through collaborations including sneakers developed with Zellerfeld, a German 3D-printing footwear startup.
Bieber married Hailey in 2018, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2024. Hailey is the founder of beauty brand Rhode.
