Nongshim CEO Cho Yong-chul traveled to Paris to attend SIAL Paris 2026, a major food industry trade fair that opened Saturday, throwing the company's weight behind its push into the European market.

Cho toured the fair's indoor exhibition booth and an outdoor cooking station in the plaza, and also stopped by a Shin Ramyun pop-up eatery near the Seine River. He met with key retail partners — including Germany's K&K, the Netherlands' Asia Express Food, France's T&T Food and Britain's Morrisons — to introduce Shin Ramyun Rosé and explore avenues for cooperation. He also personally oversaw export sales efforts for Lifill's Derma Collagen Signature RN, which won a SIAL Innovation Award Selection 2026.

Joern Kreyenhop, CEO of German distributor K&K, said Shin Ramyun Rosé was well suited to European tastes and showed strong market potential. "We plan to move quickly on stocking it and hope to begin selling it in Germany as early as next month," he said.

Nongshim is operating both an indoor booth and an outdoor plaza cooking station at the fair. The indoor space hosts product tastings of Shin Ramyun Rosé and export consultations, while the outdoor area serves freshly prepared Shin Ramyun Toomba. The company said this marks the first time in the fair's history that a cooking permit has been granted for the outdoor plaza.
