Gwangsu, a participant from Season 28 of the reality dating show "Naneun Solo" (I Am Solo), has asked the public to refrain from speculative posts after online rumors began circulating about his breakup with fellow cast member Jeonghui.

A video titled "Ajeossi Talk | Yeonae Jeonjaeng Review (feat. Nasol Couple Edition)" was recently posted on Gwangsu's YouTube channel "100 Sangyeop."

In the video, Gwangsu — who runs a matchmaking company — watched the JTBC show "Yeonae Jeonjaeng" (Love War) with a friend and discussed dating, marriage and divorce.

Gwangsu shared his views on the show's participants, saying, "Dating is fun and lively, but you have to date in a way that suits your age," and criticizing what he described as people distorting memories to pick fights with their partners. He also said, "When a woman gets what she wanted, she should at least say thank you — even if it's just words — but so many people just take it for granted," adding, "Behavior that doesn't make common sense really frustrates me."

Some viewers, however, connected his remarks to his reported recent breakup with Jeonghui, also from Season 28.

Gwangsu posted a notice Sunday, writing, "I sincerely thank everyone for their interest in this channel. I'm sorry, but I wanted to leave a message to ask one thing."

He went on to say, "Whether it's praise or criticism, I ask that comments be directed only at me and the videos on this channel, at least for a while. I would be grateful if you could refrain from speculative posts that are not based on facts."

He added, "I absolutely do not want the person who was most precious and dear to me to be hurt by any of this. Please. I will repay you with better content."

The post drew a range of comments on the channel, including: "Clickbait sites are already making derivative videos talking about Jeonghui. If you just broke up, shouldn't you stay quiet for her sake?"; "Her child used to call him dad and follow him around — I wish he'd been more careful about coming out and doing dating talk like this"; and "This makes me think that's why they broke up, and Jeonghui is getting a lot of hate."

Gwangsu and Jeonghui had appeared on the "divorced singles" special of Season 28 of "Naneun Solo," which aired on ENA and SBS Plus last year, and became the season's final couple. The pair drew attention for their impressive backgrounds — Jeonghui is a dentist and Gwangsu is the executive director of a record label.

Earlier this month, a user commented on Jeonghui's social media post asking, "Did you two break up? I was rooting for you." Jeonghui replied briefly, "Yes, we broke up. Thank you for your support," confirming the split herself.

Both have since deleted the couple photos and videos they had posted on their respective social media accounts and have unfollowed each other.
