Gwangjin-gu will host the "2026 Gwangjin-gu Job Fair" on Oct. 27 at the grand auditorium on the fifth floor of the district office.

The fair was organized in line with the launch of the ninth elected administration, with the aim of building a livable and prosperous Gwangjin-gu with quality employment opportunities and revitalizing the local job market. It is designed to connect job seekers with high-quality employment information while giving hiring companies access to skilled local talent.

The venue will feature 29 booths divided into three zones: a recruitment zone, an information zone and an experience zone. The recruitment zone will host 15 companies, each presenting their hiring processes and job roles and conducting on-site interviews with the goal of facilitating actual job placements.

The information zone will bring together affiliated agencies — including the Seongdong-Gwangjin Employment and Welfare Plus Center, the Seoul Metropolitan Eastern Women's Development Center, the Seoul 50 Plus Eastern Campus and the Seoul Youth Center Gwangjin — to offer job counseling, vocational training guidance and information on tailored employment support programs for youth and middle-aged job seekers.

The experience zone will host interactive events including AI interview simulations, resume photo shoots and personal color consultations. The Gwangjin-gu public health center will also participate, offering metabolic syndrome management consultations and smoking cessation counseling for job seekers.

Job seekers who are not hired at the event will continue to receive tailored job placement information, and the district plans to give them priority referrals if participating companies post additional openings after the fair.

"I hope this fair becomes a springboard for residents to take a new leap forward and a foundation for companies to grow together," Gwangjin-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said. "We will keep improving the local employment environment and developing field-centered job policies to build a vibrant Gwangjin-gu."
