The Damyang-gun Cultural Foundation will hold "DAMYANG FOR:REST FESTA," a cultural festival offering autumn ambiance and relaxation, at Dambit Music Hall over two days starting Saturday.

The festival draws on Damyang's natural surroundings and the distinctive character of Dambit Music Hall to bring together a variety of cultural arts and local content in one place. A diverse lineup of programs lets visitors enjoy performances and hands-on activities in nature, sample local food and culture, and linger throughout the event.

The main programs include the Damyang Trail Run (DTR), Music Forest, Market Forest, and exhibition and experience programs, offering visitors a wide range of things to see and do.

On the morning of the first day, Saturday, the Damyang Trail Run (DTR) will open the festival, taking runners through the area's distinctive natural scenery to soak in the energy of the autumn forest. The course winds through Damyang's most iconic landmarks — Gwanbangjerim, Juknokwon, Geumseong Sanseong and the Metasequoia Road — and drew nationwide interest, with some segments selling out as soon as registration opened.

Performances will then unfold on the lawn plaza of Dambit Music Hall beneath the autumn sky. At 5 p.m. Saturday, musician Geoge, known for his distinctive R&B sound, will headline a main concert, delivering a live set against the backdrop of the hall at sunset.

Fringe performances suitable for all ages will follow, including circus acts, a bubble show and a brass band. On the second day, Sunday, students from the Department of Performance Music at Mokpo National University will take the stage with an energetic set.

Throughout the festival, a variety of ongoing programs will run around Dambit Music Hall, giving families a chance to linger and experience the flavors and character of the local area through all five senses.
